Private service

Erectile dysfunction.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) — sometimes called impotence — is the inability to get or maintain an erection. It's common, particularly in men over 40, and there's a lot we can do about it.

ED is extremely common — most men experience it at some point — and yet it remains one of the conditions men are least likely to talk to a GP about. That's where a pharmacy can help: a confidential conversation in our private consultation room, with no appointment system, no referral, and no fuss.

How the service works

You'll have a private consultation with one of our pharmacists. We'll assess your medical history, current medications, and any underlying issues that could be contributing to the problem. From there, we'll talk through which treatment options are suitable for you.

If we can't supply a treatment — for example, because of an interaction with another medicine you're on — we'll explain why, and point you in the direction of another service.

What treatments are available?

This is a private service, not an NHS service, so there is a cost associated with treatment. The most popular medications include Viagra, Cialis, Levitra and the generic equivalents (sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil). The pharmacist will discuss which is most likely to suit you.

It's worth getting checked

Persistent ED can sometimes be an early sign of an underlying issue — high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, or low testosterone. The pharmacist will flag this during your consultation and recommend you speak to your GP if appropriate. Don't skip that step.

Confidentiality

All consultations are private and confidential, conducted in our dedicated consultation room — not at the counter. You don't need to explain what you're coming in for at the front of the shop; just ask quietly to speak to the pharmacist.
