The seasonal flu vaccination is one of the simplest, most effective things you can do to protect your health each winter. The NHS provides the jab free to anyone in an at-risk group — but if you don't qualify, paying privately at a community pharmacy like ours is straightforward, quick and inexpensive.
When is the service available?
The flu vaccination service usually runs from September to March, while flu is circulating. Once stocks for the season arrive, we'll start offering both NHS and private jabs.
Who can have a private flu jab?
Most healthy adults and over-18s. We'll carry out a short consultation with you before the vaccination to make sure it's suitable — this is a chance to ask any questions and to flag anything in your medical history we need to know about.
What about NHS eligibility?
If you're 65 or over, pregnant, in a clinical risk group, a carer, or in certain frontline health and social care roles, you may qualify for the free NHS flu jab — just ask a member of staff and we'll check.
Walk-in friendly
You don't usually need to book — pop in and we'll fit you in around the day. For groups (e.g. workplaces), please call ahead so we can plan around stock.
